# 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design

The 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design are the enforceable accessibility standards that set minimum scoping and technical requirements for new construction and alterations covered by ADA Titles II and III.

## Why it matters

They define details such as door widths, ramp slopes, restroom clearances and parking counts. New construction and alterations begun on or after March 15, 2012 must meet them. Surveys check existing features against these dimensions.
