# Short-Term Repairs

Short-term repairs are remedies for physical deficiencies that do not require immediate attention but should be done on a priority basis, according to ASTM E2018 short-term costs.

## Why it matters

These items sit between urgent fixes and long-range replacements. Examples include aging equipment that still runs but is near the end of its life. Defining the short-term window in the report helps the user budget.
