Walk-Through Survey

A walk-through survey is the set of nonintrusive observations of readily accessible, observable property improvements that a field observer makes during a property condition assessment or inspection.

Why it matters

The walk-through is where an inspector sees roofs, mechanical equipment, structure and site conditions in person. It does not include opening walls, removing materials or testing. Findings are limited to what is accessible and visible on the day of the visit.
